This massage style changes based on the flare-up status of the client that day. During a flare-up, massage is a light touch and helps mental clarity, pain relief, and improve sleep. If the client is between flare-ups then deep flat pressure and trigger point are used to flush out toxins and waste products prolonging the time between flare-ups and reducing their intensity. Sessions are adjusted down on the day of the appointment if the client is experiencing a flare-up.

Headache/Migrane Therapy -
As someone that has suffered headaches and migraines my whole life, I have spent extra time finding ways to help clients who have this type of pain. I offer two treatment packages, the 30-minute session focuses on the scalp, face, and neck and relieves pain using a collection of methods including trigger point, myofascial release, and still point induction. The full hour does all of this along with continuing the work down into the shoulder and upper back regions to address tension relief for longer-lasting results.

Hot Stone Massage -
My deepest tissue work and the most relaxing massage I offer. The hot stones are used not just in my hands as a tool that cuts through knots like a hot knife through butter, but also to pre-melt tension before the area is worked. This is also an amazing fit for clients that bruise easily from deep tissue and trigger point methods.

Moving Cupping Massage -
Cupping massage works by lifting instead of pushing, leaving clients feeling slinky like a cat. While the cups are on your skin, they loosen and lift your connective tissues, which increases blood and lymph flow to your skin and muscles. Light rolfing is paired with cupping, creating a massage that helps your lymphatic system in clearing the cellular waste and toxins from your body. Among the most common uses of cupping are reducing cellulite dimples, reducing the signs of aging by promoting skin health, and healing stubborn injuries.

Pain Management/Injury Massage -
I put the clinical understanding I learned while working in tandem with a physical therapist to work on your recent injury or chronic trouble spots. Simply put I am knowledgeable of medical terms and know how to work with and not against your recovery treatment plan. l focus on increasing mobility by releasing adhesions using assisted stretching, pin and stretch, and a blend between Swedish and modified Thai massage. I will also work to keep your muscles balanced, as we often favor and guard when we are in pain. The shorter options on this treatment are often done fully clothed and are great for athletes, a bad back, or just someone that has a bum hip.

Prenatal Massage -
During pregnancy, the body goes through many changes, often causing discomfort. I have helped many of my clients over the years with massages specifically designed with prenatal needs in mind. During the 2nd and 3rd trimester connective tissue is softened by the body's production of relaxin, resulting in muscle strain and soreness of joints. I have several options for body position and help guide them through their choices. I elect to skip foot massage during the 3rd trimester as it can trigger contractions or labor and instead ask the client to pick a problem spot they would like me to spend that extra time on. Helps with edema, sciatica, and carpal tunnel along with stress and anxiety.

Senior Massage - 65 and up
As people age, they can experience a wide variety of changes. Senior clients can range from active to those with limited mobility. Some of my favorite people to help in physical therapy were our older patients. Taking a little extra time to address their concerns and find what will alleviate their chronic pain and increase their mobility is one of the most rewarding parts of the profession. I work to find ways to keep them in their comfort zone and leave feeling 20 years younger. Occasionally these clients have difficulty with a traditional massage table or massage chair, so I keep an armless traditional chair handy so they can sit comfortably while I work around them.
1-2 Trouble Spot Treatment - $25 (30-minute)
3-4 Trouble Spot Treatment or Full Body - $50 (60-minute)
Full Body Treatment including 1-2 Trouble Spot Focus - $75 (90-minute massage)

Sports Massage -
Having worked with marathon runners, cross country bikers, jiu-jitsu champions, baseball players, gymnasts, and members of The Flaming Lips, I have quite a bit of experience with the needs of people that perform and push their bodies to the limit. Generally, pre-performance massages are 30 minutes sessions and focus on increasing circulation, endorphin production, and reduction of anxiety/stress. Post-performance sports massage is usually a longer session and best within 48 hours of the event. This massage is used for reducing inflammation/soreness, maintaining increased mobility, and aiding the body to heal muscular strain and microtears. It also functions on restoring proprioception and sets you up for a good night's sleep. 30-minute pre-massages are performed fully clothed, while the post-massages are more traditional in nature. You don't have to be a world-class star to get the same great care. Great for gym rats, teen athletes, and anyone with a personal trainer.
